New Caney, once called Presswood, is unincorporated and sits in southeastern Montgomery County. The handbook places it at the junction of Farm Road 1485 and State Highway Loop 494, seventeen miles southeast of Conroe. New Caney's handbook coordinates lie north-northwest of the Huffman lot on FM 1960.
The handbook traces the name to Caney Station on the Houston, East and West Texas Railway, after the canebrakes on Caney Creek. The inventory is where Huffman keeps the houses shoppers compare. New Caney is grouped with the other towns on the locations index. Separate type pages cover single wide floorplans and double wide floorplans.
